Our History

Bright Photonics makes integrated photonics accessible by bringing clarity, structure and technical depth to complex development paths. We help customers understand what is feasible, where the risks are and which route leads to a validated, manufacturable and scalable solution.
As an integrated photonics engineering partner, Bright Photonics supports complex PIC development with evidence-based decisions, validated design flows and practical manufacturing insight.
Precision and excellence in every facet of photonics technology, ensuring unmatched quality and innovation.
Independent of foundries and technology platforms, so every project starts from the application rather than from a preferred technology.
A network of foundries, packaging houses and test partners, matched to the needs of each phase of your development.
Evidence-based decisions, documented and explained, so you always know where a project stands.
Proprietary design software, reusable IP and in-house testing that turn complexity into a predictable route.
More than fifteen years of working with foundries, consortia and research institutes across the integrated photonics ecosystem.
Designs that are manufacturable, repeatable and ready to scale from prototype to production.
Company Story
Bright Photonics was built on a clear belief: integrated photonics can transform industries, but only when complex technology is translated into reliable, manufacturable and scalable solutions.
Over the years, Bright Photonics has grown into a photonic IC design house and engineering partner for organisations that need more than a PIC design.
We help customers navigate the full PIC development path, from first application analysis and feasibility to design, simulation, validation, testing and industrialisation.
In integrated photonic materials, processes, and assembly routes are not interchangeable. Swapping a supplier can severely compromise system performance, reliability, and cost. We solve this bottleneck by keeping our design framework foundry-agnostic at the system level, while enabling engineers to drill down and up between the high-level architecture, physical layout, and building-block (BB) levels.

Bright Photonics is built by PIC design engineers, software specialists and testing experts who understand the full complexity of integrated photonics. Our team combines scientific depth, practical design experience, software expertise and hands-on validation skills.
Each colleague brings a specific perspective to the development process, from system design and PIC architecture to simulation, software, testing and manufacturing readiness. Together, they help customers make integrated photonics more accessible, predictable and ready for real-world use.
Every colleague is presented here with a short profile, role, expertise and personal connection to integrated photonics.
